The Job In A Nutshell
As the Product & Marketing Manager for our growing JUCY Snooze brand, you will be responsible for the marketing activities for your product, crafting product messaging and positioning, plan new product launches and develop expertise about potential customers. You will undertake market research on potential new and existing products, analyse data, establish timescales for developing products, influence pricing and packaging, guide sales teams, drive demand through compelling marketing campaigns and take part in presentations and events. You will be the ‘voice of the customer' within the organisation, carefully researching customer needs and experiences. You will work across different organisational departments within JUCY Group to achieve this.
Market intelligence - be the expert on your customers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competitors and trends; develop product positioning and strategies to ensure we are better than the competition.
Develop and execute engaging online and offline marketing strategies driving demand for your product with a ROI.
Create product content such as case studies, videos, website copy and blog posts.
Communicate the value of products to the sales team and help develop sales tools that facilitate the selling process for internal staff and trade partners.
Review and recommend any future product lines by analysing product specifications and requirements.
Bring new products to market through product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with relevant departments.
Use market research data to determine product pricing, placement and demographics.
Plan the launch and marketing activity of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
Speak and present about products to both external and internal audiences.
Manage marketing activity, sales plans and product contracting for the travel agency desks within JUCY Snooze.
Must Have Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years' experience within a youth/adventure-focussed tourism brand.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Product and/or Marketing within a tourism brand.
A Diploma or higher qualification in either Marketing, Media or Tourism.
Experience managing marketing budgets and spend.
Creating product, marketing or business strategies and plans.
Knowledge of Google Analytics.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills, presentation, customer service, business and negotiation skills.
High energy with the capability to multi-task in a dynamic, rapidly growing organisation.
Experienced in creating content and using a CMS.
A thorough understanding of, and interest in, the tourism industry.
Ability to easily transition from strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution.
Nice to Have Skills/Experience:
Experience in multiple tourism markets.
Video production skills (script writing, storyboarding, cinematography, video editing).
Knowledge of the JUCY brand and marketing.
Knowledge of the youth hostel and hotel industry.
Travel agency experience preferred.
